Have you ever heard of the guitar brand Shine?  Don’t feel bad if you haven’t.  They are (were?) a guitar brand manufactured out of Korea and China whose factory specializes in OEMing other famous brands such as Ibanez and Epiphone.  I am not sure if the Shine brand still exists as it’s website is up albeit no dealers.  You can go here to check out their guitars.  Pictured below is one of their more unusual guitars from their “New Orleans” hollow body series.

Here’s today’s strange guitar!  I would certainly give the builder of this guitar an “A” for effort with the ornate inlays and carving.  However, if this guitar proves one thing it is that you can be a talented artist with really bad taste.  What do you think?  Leave a comment below!

As the saying goes: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.  This holds true in the guitar world as well!  There truly is something out there for everyone!  Check out this website and I think you’ll find some pretty entertaining if not downright oddball guitars!

This bass guitar would come in handy in the New England winters.  I don’t really get why they needed to put a skeleton on it, however I am assuming it makes it more marketable for the edgy hard rock crowd.

Here is today’s Strange Guitar of the Day!  These guitars were produced for a brand called Grassroots by the popular manufacturer ESP.  They were intended to be a travel guitar and were only sold in the Asian market. However, maybe I’m crazy, but to my eye it looks like something is missing!?
